Whose at your table at our Christmas party? You can now look and see!

Mushroom FM's 2015 holiday countdown and Christmas party is not far away! We'll be counting down the top 100 holiday songs as chosen by you from 9 a.m. Eastern time on Sunday morning, that's 2 p.m. in the UK.

While we all enjoy the festive tunes, our virtual online Christmas party puts those who have voted in the countdown at Christmas tables, named after the reindeer in our 2015 Christmas single 'Twas the night before Christmas.

Ho! Ho! HO! It's Bonair

Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s almost here! Bonair that is—Tuesday 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EST right here on www.mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music apps. Mosen Towers is alive with the sound of construction, so we will play some songs about building sprinkled amongst some Christmas tunes and whatever you want to request. Earlier this week it was Frank Sinatra’s 100thbirthday, and we will definitely get some tuneage in from Old Blue Eyes.

What child is this, on The Mosen Explosion?

With the school holidays upon us, and the Mosen Explosion exploding on Mushroom FM on a Monday morning in New Zealand, it means we get some intensive banana time. And this week, it's my pleasure to welcome the highly liberated Richard Mosen who'll be co-hosting the show.

Hark! At 4 PM Eastern, Jonnie and Bonathan are back!

Hark I tell you! Hark at once! Axel can't be with us this week to take us all through the 80s, so it's your old friends Jonnie and Bonathan, standing in again for two hours of ding dong merrily on Mushroom. Right after Brian has finished doing number twos on his music machine, we'll be here to bring some joy to your world as you contemplate the remaining shopping, food preparations, and ensuring that you've cast your vote in the Mushroom FM holiday countdown.

Once Again It's Time for Bonair

It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for Bonair 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EST on mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music apps. We will play your requests—including some Christmas music if you like, have another tasty treat from the Mosen kitchen, and find out how your holiday plans are shaping up. In the second hour, we will play highlights of last Saturday’s book club discussion of “The Woman Who Stole My Life” and announce this month’s read. So grab some eggnog or hot chocolate and gather round the radio.

We're keeping another festive fun guy tradition on The Mosen Explosion

The Mosen explosion is back, and it's one of my very favourite days of the year. One of the wonderful things about having Mushroom FM back on the air, is the resurrection of many wonderful Christmas traditions. One of those is of course the Mushroom FM holiday countdown, and many of you have already cast your votes, for which we are grateful. If by chance you've not voted yet, come one, come all, have your say, and be in to win $500 at http://www.mushroomfm.com/countdown2015.

It’s Christmas time in the Shed.

That’s right, all the decorations are up, and check out the huge Christmas tree in the corner!
The Shed is completely transformed for the month of December.
Because of this, all you’ll hear is Christmas music, with a few Christmas stories added in for good measure.
The doors open later tonight from 11 PM Eastern time, that’s 5 PM Sunday afternoon here in New Zealand and 4 AM Sunday morning in the UK.
No special features this month, but plenty of time to get in your Christmas requests.

The Mushroom FM Book Club is Meeting Again

Our November Mushroom FM book of the month was "the woman who stole my life" by Marian Keyes. Already, there has been some lively discussion about the book on Twitter.

But now, it's time to take that discussion into the Mushroom FM book club chat room for our official monthly meeting.

We'd love to hear what you thought of the book, and you can join in the discussion on Saturday at noon Eastern, 5 p.m. UK.

It's the Great Dictator, Exploding in The Zone

At 4 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. in the UK, I'm going to be in the zone again!
Unfortunately, wee Anne Cosgrove who was looking forward to being with you again after a week away, has been stricken! Stricken I tell you! She has a horrible cold, and is not fit to talk, so I'll be talking and playing music instead.
