Join jaunty Jonathan for a feeling flaming fabulously fantastic Mosen Explosion!

I feel good, diddle diddle diddle dit, dit, I knew that I would now, diddle diddle diddle dit dit. an, where are those old singing speech synthesisers when they'd come in handy, eh? Where?

Last week, inspired by eye pain, we featured songs all about eyes and looking. And holy soup! I could easily have done a show four times longer, there was so much material.

Four Seasons in the Shed.

This week in New Zealand, it’s been sunny, sunny, still sunny, then rain, wind, rain, and oh yeah, sunny, again.
This mild winter still continues, although we’re told the real winter will appear towards the end of this month.
What does this tell me?
That our beloved Met Service here in New Zealand, don’t really have a clue what’s happening, as only two weeks ago, they said the mild winter would continue right till spring.
Lucky for you though, I don’t work for the Met service, therefore I know what’s happening.

Join Me for a Special Bonair

Join me for a special Bonair “Remembering Hazel” Saturday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. EST here on mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music aps. It’s been a tough week. On Wednesday, one of my favourite cousins, Hazel Richardson, passed away after a short but brave battle with cancer. We honour those we have lost in many mediums--a poem, a song, quiet meditation in a meadow or on a mountain. There will be a memorial service, but I chose to remember and celebrate her life by playing some of her favourite music, and sharing my memories of this wonderful lady on my show.

Celebrating Ringo Starr's 76th birthday today

One of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Ringo Starr, was born 76 years ago today. That sure is worthy of celebration.

Join me, Jonathan Mosen, right after Steve Cutway at 6 Pm Eastern, 11 PM UK, as for two hours we say happy birthday to Ringo. The first hour, our regular 60s slot, features nothing but music by The Beatles, particularly songs where Ringo sang lead vocals. Other tracks we'll play showcase his skills as the best rock drummer.

In my second hour, where we're stuck in the 70s, we'll draw from Ringo's well known and lesser-known 70s track.

Living it up in the shed.

That certainly wasn’t the case last weekend, however from 11PM Eastern tonight, I’m making up for lost time.
Four hours of music from 4am Sunday in the UK, and 3PM Sunday here in good old New Zealand.
You’ll hear about my week, in particular what happened to me last weekend.
The triple threat is back, and so is the Live and Loud segment.
You can also get your requests in, in fact the more you request the less random my choices become.
Just simply e-mail: anthony at mushroomfm dot com
Or hit me up on Twitter: @kiwisnake

Eye Eye Eye? Another Mosen Explosion's coming up.

If you were listening to last week's show, or indeed some of my new week-day shows here on the 'Shroom, you will have heard that I have been stricken, stricken I tell you, but this crazy eye pain. It's not a common thing for me at all, and I don't like it, because it seems ridiculous to be pained by an organ that's totally dysfunctional and useless, because that makes me feel dysfunctional and useless.

It's a red, white, and blue Bonair

It’s a red, white, and blue Bonair—Saturday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. here on mushroomfm.com and in all your favourite music apps. As it’s the Fourth of July weekend in the States, we’ll have the usual Bonnie banter, talk about how to grill the perfect hamburger and hot dog, and play songs with red, white, or blue in the artist or song title along with other groovy grilling party tunes. So grab a cold one, and join this expat for two hours of great music and musing. If you’d like to contact the show, email bonnieatmushroomfm.com or tweet @bonniemosen.

It's easier than ever to broadcast with us. An audio demo explains

Have you heard all of the cool new shows coming from our Mushroom Pot yet? It’s entering week three of service today. Based on measurements of traffic to our servers, it seems that many of you have discovered all the great new shows, and are listening longer. Thank you so much.

Announcing the departure of Brian Hartgen

Hi everyone, it's with sadness but grateful thanks for his immense contribution that I advise the Mushroom FM family that Brian Hartgen has resigned from Mushroom Fm to pursue other projects. This is a totally amicable parting and we wish him all the best for the future.

The Mosen Explosion in interesting times

When the Mosen Explosion goes to air this week, it'll be the 26th in our official time zone of US Eastern. But in little old New Zealand, it will be bright and early on the 27th. And by an incredible co-incidence, the 27th of June is the wedding anniversary of two regular contributors to the show. Remarkable how these things happen, eh? Bonnie is celebrating a wedding anniversary, which no doubt she will talk about in her Bonnie bulletin, and so too am I. How cool is that?
