Our November Mushroom FM book of the month was "the woman who stole my life" by Marian Keyes. Already, there has been some lively discussion about the book on Twitter.

But now, it's time to take that discussion into the Mushroom FM book club chat room for our official monthly meeting.

Unfortunately, wee Anne Cosgrove who was looking forward to being with you again after a week away, has been stricken! Stricken I tell you! She has a horrible cold, and is not fit to talk, so I'll be talking and playing music instead.

Hi everyone, it's hard to believe that it's less than 48 hours since votes for the Mushroom FM Holiday Countdown went live, and I'd like to give you a quick update.

At Mushroom FM, we've always been full of fun at the festive season. This year, we're keeping up much cherished Mushroom FM traditions, while at the same time freshening them up with a few twists. We have plenty to unveil over the next little while, but today we're proud to announce our 2015 holiday countdown.

Listeners who've been part of the Mushroom Crowd for a while will remember that we launched this countdown tradition in 2011. In 2012, we improved on it even further. And this year, it's a spectacular.

Oh boy! I am looking forward to getting behind that microphone this week. But I look forward to getting behind that microphone every week. This week though, we have plenty of awesomeness on the show. First of all, Mushroom FM's first big event since our return will be unveiled. And it's a really good one. It could totally change your Christmas for the better.

Every year on Mushroom FM, the perennial question comes up. When shall we start playing Christmas music? When?

We are back, back we are, for another edition of the Mosen Explosion, another Mosen Explosion edition.

Many of us have been glued to devices, radio and TV over this bleak weekend, as the horror from paris and its aftermath have unfolded. Maybe we took the time to hold those we love extra closely.
Many people outside of France have returned to some degree of normality, keeping an eye on developments. But for those who've lost loved ones, or who live in a frightened nation, the atrocities are not so easily put behind them.
We'll begin this week's show with a short tribute to those who were so cruelly massacred.

Once again, we're back on your thing, no matter what that thing is and where that thing is located. It could be an iThing, a new Apple TV thing, a PC thing, but we're on that thing.
And the thing I hope you'll do with that thing on Sunday at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK, is join me for another edition of The Mosen Explosion.

Many of our Mushroom FM fun guys have busy day jobs, and I remain deeply appreciative that they are part of our wonderful voluntary project.

Sometimes though, it's important to do a work/life balance check. After doing this, Bob Kanish has decided that his busy schedule doesn't permit continuing his show, The Depths, on Mushroom FM at the moment.
