Hello! Sara Hillis here to tell you about this week's edition of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show. Saturday, July 1, is Canada Day, so as we do every year, we'll be celebrating with Canadian songs, stories and more. So, join me for three hours of Folkish Canadiana! The show isn't live this week, and it will not be uploaded to Mixcloud due to licensing restrictions, but I hope you'll enjoy it.

After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, during which I believe she too will be celebrating Canada Day, as it should be, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with nods to other decades and genres.

With Mushroom Escape currently down, the movies that were to play this weekend, will play next week instead.
If all goes well Escape should be back late Saturday afternoon Central time, however this would not give everyone an opportunity to catch the movies, hence the reason for this change.

Hi Everyone.

I know I say this all the time, but I had so much fun creating the playlist for this week's show! Being a presenter on Mushroom FM is truly the best job in the world! What can be better than playing so many of my favorite songs and telling stories? As you may have guessed, this week I feature many songs with rock and roll in their title, or in their lyrics. I do provide plenty of variety however, by also including songs about musicians' lives on the road, hilarious songs about making music by Tod Schneider and weird Al, and even songs by three different TV show groups.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.

Mushroom Escape is moving. This will, unfortunately, necessitate some down time to facilitate this move. We hope the down time will be minimal, roughly twelve to fourteen hours, but we can not guarantee this. Escape will go down around 1 AM Eastern time on Wednesday, June twenty-eighth. We fervently hope we will be back up sometime Wednesday afternoon.
