Hi there. Sara Hillis here, just popping up from the craziness of the holidays to let you know that on Saturday, December 30, Come by the Hills will be devoted entirely to the artistry and legacy of Gordon Lightfoot. Yes, once again, I'll be presenting the tribute show to this amazing song-writer and musician that was originally aired on May 6, 2023. I think this is the second time I've repeated the episode, but I'm really proud of it and I know it was particularly well-loved by many regular listeners to the Folk and Celtic music show here on Mushroom FM.

Hello! It’s Jonathan here. I hope you had a joyous Christmas.

As you may know, every year, I host a live broadcast to celebrate the end of the current year and the arrival of a new one, which comes first to New Zealand. I’ll be doing that once again this year at 9 PM on new year’s eve in New Zealand, which equates to 3 AM Eastern, and 8 AM in the UK on the morning of 31 December. This year though, it’s even more special.

After the presents have been opened, the turkey has been eaten (some of it at least), and it's Christmas night when you can hopefully enjoy a bit of well deserved down time. Why not pour a glass of your favourite Christmas cheer and join me for some Christmas traditions, tonight from 07:00 until 09:00 PM North American Eastern Time on Mushroom FM.

Yes, it's that time of year again, a time brimming with festive traditions big and small. One of those traditions for many people is listening to the wonderful Christmas albums by the Carpenters. Christmas is celebrated around the world, but we do a few things differently in Australia. Kangaroos pull Santa's sleigh, we have to deal with summer heat and we drink wine in the sun. But we still eat too much for Christmas.
