Last week on the show, we talked a little bout what to look for when buying a barbecue. We also talked a little about my latest barbecue Purchase, which I hadn't yet put through it's paces.

this week, we'll talk through the results of it's first road test, and I'll share with you a quick and simple way to improve the humble steak. Once you've tried this, I'm sure it'll become a regular on your table too.
there's a new tech gadget I'd like to tell you about as well, and, as usual there's a great mix of music and friendly chat.

The group harmony of the fifties and early sixties evokes feelings of joy, romance, humor, brings back memories of youth and falling in love. The harmony enhanced by the bass foundation and some improvisation, the falsetto tenor and the chord structure probides the mood and set the scenery. We think of riding in cars, walks in the park, holding hands and falling head over heels with that special someone. Join me on the Doo-wop Corner Sundays from 6: to 8: PM. ET and Saturdays from 4 to 6 AM. ET.

Kia ora koutou after a very cold and blustery Wellington week. I’m looking forward to being back with you for another edition of Mosen At Large this week. We already have plenty of listener contributions lined up but there is room for yours.

Here are just some of the things we’ll be talking about.

The Juke In The Back” focuses on the “soul that came before rock n’ roll,” the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.

Yes, Sara Hillis here once again to let you know that since Wednesday, July 1 is Canada Day here in, well, Canada, I'm going to be live tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern with three hours of Canadian Folk and Celtic music for your enjoyment, and perhaps for your edification. You're welcome to request something if you like, or you you can just sit back and celebrate whatever the heck it really is to be Canadian. We've got songs about history, songs about places, and songs that celebrate the fact that, as The Arrogant Worms say, Canada's really big!

This week Deep Dive features those politically active Scotish twins The Proclaimers. We join them to walk 500 miles, be on the way to happiness, Get lucky, and receive a letter from America.

Deep Dive features one artist with one focus for one hour. Join me at 4 PM Eastern on Monday, 6 AM on a Tuesday in eastern Australia. Or at the far more civilised time for me of 6 AM Wednesday Eastern, which is 8 PM in Eastern Australia.

On Sunday 5 July, Mushroom FM will be performing an upgrade to our online player. This is the player that lets you listen to the fun guys from our website.

Once we perform that upgrade, our online player will no longer support Internet Explorer. Every other method of listening to Mushroom FM, including with a modern browser, will be unaffected.
