Some Canadian rhetoric in song and the top 100 of 1966 part 3 this week on the Early Years!
After you've enjoyed The Variety Vault with Paul Merrell, Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with nods to other decades and genres.
After a break to celebrate my 77th birthday and play some Halloween songs last week, I'm returning to the top 100 of 1966 that I began three weeks ago. But first, I'll play two new songs by international Canadian superstar Bryan Adams reiterating Canada's position re becoming the US 51st state, which will never happen; and Trump renaming of Lake Ontario to Lake America, as if he can do that unilaterally which he can't because Lake Ontario was named by North America's Indiginous peoples long before Europeans set foot here. By Wednesday afternoon, he won't be able to accuse me of interfering in the US midterm elections that I hope everyone who is eligible to do so voted in.
I'll pick up the countdown at #45 and continue to #19. I'll get to #1 next week and then play songs that didn't make the top 100 of 1966.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for some pro-Canadian rhetoric and the continuation of the top 100 of 1966, Wednesday afternoon at 4 PM, where and when I will make musical and magical memories, after The Variety Vault with Paul Merrell, and before Story Untold with PJ Noce. Then stay tuned for The Mosen explosion. The Early Years will replay Friday morning at 7 AM, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and before The Mosen explosion with Jonathan Mosen, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
