There are sometimes advantages in having a time zone so far ahead of much of the world.
This morning at around 2 AM, I was one of the first to receive my Let It Be Super Deluxe set. This set contains the Let It Be album with fresh 2021 remixes produced by Giles Martin. It also contains some delightful and fascinating outtakes from the sessions, plus the first official release of the Get Back album mixed by Glyn Johns before the tapes were handed over to Phil Spector.

It’s Jonathan Mosen back with another edition of Small World, the kids’ programme for the whole family. This week, depending on where you live in this small world of ours, there is one very important thing you might need to know. In New Zealand, and possibly some other countries in this part of the world, the clocks are springing forward. That means that for those whose clocks are going ahead by an hour, the show will start one hour later than before.

You’ll hear the classics fiddled with like you’ve never heard them fiddled with before.
I’ll play you a couple of bedtime stories, but you have to promise me to try not to fall asleep or I’ll get lonely!
We meet a whale who has some big and unusual dreams.

It’s Jonathan Mosen back with another edition of Small World, the kids’ programme for the whole family. And what an adventure-filled programme we have for you this week.
FAB! The Thunderbirds are taking us on another adventure. Art Gilmore is back, this time to tell us a very ancient story. If you’re very good and eat all your vegetables, I might just take you to the zoo and introduce you to some animals.

It’s Jonathan Mosen back with another edition of Small World, the kids’ programme for the whole family. It’s a wonderful world where the bad people always lose in the end, and there are stories and songs that transport you to wonderful places and make you smile.
This week, we’ll have a few songs and a story from max Cryer, a famous New Zealand entertainer and producer who died recently. If you’re in New Zealand where Small World has been on the radio since the 1970s, you’ll certainly be familiar with his work. We hope the rest of the world enjoys hearing him too.

I have a dream that one day there’ll be new ABBA music, and the dream is nearly a reality.
Mama mia! Can you wait hasta Mañana? Knowing me, knowing you the way old friends do, when all is said and done, you may be just a little bit excited about the fact that we’re finally on the verge of getting new ABBA music. Does your mother know that it’s the first new ABBA music in almost 40 years?

It’s Jonathan Mosen back with a fresh edition of Small World this week, the kids’ show for the whole family. Since it’s you, and I know you’ve been very good this week, I’ll give you a few clues about what goodies I have coming up.
We’re going to begin by going into space. Golly! And we’re in some very good company while we’re up there.
Can you talk like a pirate? Ar’r’r’r’r’r!. Don’t worry if you can’t, because you can still listen to a classic story that’s got pirates in it! Shiver me timbers!

It’s been a rough week for fans of the kind of music we play on Mushroom FM. The tributes I put together for artists are rare, but for the third consecutive day, I am pre-empting the usual Mosen Explosion format to pay tribute to another influential musician who has just died, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts.
Obviously there is a huge amount of music to choose from, and I’ll be telling you a bit about Charlie Watts, how he ended up being one of the longest serving members of the Stones, and what he collected that he couldn’t use.
