Paying tribute to Julia Aguilar, and the Beatles Abbey Road remix on this week's Mosen Explosion

With a very heavy heart, I begin by noting that last Sunday, Julia Aguilar, who at one time was my wife Julia Mosen, died after a short illness. For 3.5 years, she hosted several popular radio shows here on Mushroom FM. We’ll take some time to remember Julia in her own words and music.

Sara Smiles will Happen Today, Sort of

Due to some technical difficulties, those listening to the noon Eastern edition of Sara Smiles today may get half the show or no show at all. However, those listening to the replay should get the full Monty, as it were. sorry about this, but it was a silly wi-fi issue here at my parents' house which caused the buggaboo. I sincerely hope it is fixed now, and I equally sincerely apologize for the annoyance.

It's a Blast from the Past, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Life has caught up to me this week, but don't worry! You're still getting three hours of Come by the Hills, this week from September 23, 2018. We'll hear some old promos, the usual banter, and of course some great Celtic music! I hope to be back next week with a brand new show, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this blast from the past!

Autumn songs this week on The Early Years!

After you've been educated and entertained by The Mosen Explosion, don't touch that dial and join me for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
Lots of nods to other decades and genres this week as I celebrate the arrival of Autumn with season appropriate songs. The Autumnal Equinox occurs at 03:50 AM Monday morning (Sept. 23) in the Northern Hemisphere. I presented this theme for the first time last year but this is not a replay of that show.

This week on The Mosen Explosion, what's the best book you've ever read and why?

We’re baaaaaack! Oh yes we are! We’ve survived another week of changing climates, political madness, iOS bugs and in some cases, even soup! Oh my word anything, anything but the soup! But we’ve made it to another Mosen Explosion, live at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK, 6 AM in New Zealand.

We will of course be finding out how you’re getting on with iOS 13, and looking ahead to Amazon’s big announcements in the coming week.
