This Week's Episode of Come by the Hills is Coming Soon!

Consider this your warning, as the Celts and Folkies will be invading Mushroom FM in just a few short hours! Yes, live once again from the 7th floor, it's another three hours of folky fun on Come by the hills! Tonight, I've got songs with a somewhat pastoral theme, songs about water, a few ballads, and even something from Tom Lehrer, and no, it's not about poisoning pigeons in the Park or anywhere else. So why not come along and see what all the fuss is about?

Songs that Make Me Smile on The Song Remembers When

Thanks so much to Caroline for taking over for me last week. It was wonderful to know the show was in good hands while I was in Wisconsin attending the funeral for my father-in-law, and spending time with family. I'm back this week however, and, due to the state of the world internationally and nationally, and the fact that I have two relatives who are critically ill in my own family, I decided it would be nice to play songs that make me smile.

Deep Dive meets a rocket man

This week, through an encore programme, we enjoy the outstanding talents of English singer and all-round entertainer Elton John. We meet Daniel, a tiny dancer, and hear he is still standing. It will be an amazing programme of musical entertainment.

Join me at 4 PM Eastern Monday, and 6 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, 8 PM in Eastern Australia. Murmur sweetly - but not too softly - to that SmartSpeaker of yours to play Mushroom FM, and it will grant your wish in a flash.

Come Along in a Few Hours for Come by the Hills!

It's almost time for another live from the 7th floor edition of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show on Mushroom FM! I've got a great mix of music as usual, and because the show is live, whatever I have decided to play could well change, either on my own whim or on yours! So, even if you can't stay for the full three hours, I hope you'll come along and spend some time.

Catch Come by the Hills live from the 7th floor on Sundays at 8:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesdays at 5:00 AM Eastern. However and whenever you listen, I hope you'll enjoy the show!

Monday's Mosen Explosion remembers someone very special

This Monday’s Mosen Explosion pays tribute to someone special.

In the early hours of 14 April, my Mum, Pauline Mosen, died. In a Mushroom Fm context, she was also mother-in-law to Bonnie, Nanna of Anthony, and a loyal, devoted, supportive Mushroom Fm listener. Those of you who were interacting with Mushroom Fm on Twitter a few years ago may well have chatted with her.

The April 20 Show

Does Vladimir Putin really have an alergy? Is our fast food industry responsible for that? That, plus the fascinating background story behind Spanky And Our Gang, and, quite frankly, the best 60's through 80's tunes on the planet,
presented by the fungal, funjiest man this side of the chism Trail.
How to keep your drain from plugging up so you dont' have to call maintenance. and alcohol, is it actually good for you? How much? Who is Tony Orlando really? The Snowman's take on all the latest breaking History, and don't forget that wonderfully mellow second hour.

A birthday celebration and the top 600 songs of the 60s this week on The Early Years!
