Hello! Sara Hillis here again to let you in on what's coming up on this week's iminetly impending installment of Come by the Hills, Mushroom FM's Folk and Celtic Music show! We've got songs about coming and going in the first hour, a few songs about staying and leaving in the second hour, and songs about weddings, valleys, and a few songs from some of the "Rough Guide" albums along the way. Coming up on Saturday at the Described Movies: Giant and Rainbow Valley.

From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 4pm Saturday in NZ, 2pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described Movies Giant from 1956 and Rainbow Valley from 1935.
Giant is a 1956 American epic Western drama film, directed by George Stevens from a screenplay adapted by Fred Guiol and Ivan Moffat from Edna Ferber's 1952 novel.

Art Rupe & Specialty Records part 2 – 1950-53 this week on The Juke In The Back!

The Juke In The Back” focuses on the “soul that came before rock n’ roll,” the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
This week, the “Juke In The Back” pays our respects to one of the great record men of the 1940s and 50s; Art Rupe. Rupe passed away on April 15, 2022 at the age of 104! He started Juke Box Records in 1945, which would become Specialty Records in ’47 and go on to become one of the most important independent labels of Rhythm & Blues and early Rock n’ Roll.

2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick.
The screenplay was written by Kubrick and science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke and was inspired by Clarke's 1951 short story " The Sentinel" and other short stories by Clarke.
