Ranger Nick is widely regarded as the Guru of camp oven cooking. He has written three books on the subject, is a regular at many outdoor cooking shows, and is a regular guest on TV and radio here in Australia. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the world's longest damper.

It's almost time once again for Damo's All Day Breakfast, and this week on the show we're talking ham. No, for once I don't mean the smoked cured variety of pork, but rather Ham Radio, or Amateur Radio as some people prefer to call it.

I'd love you to join me once again as we fire up the bacon and eggs for another All Day Breakfast. It's mother's day this weekend in Australia, as I believe it is in other parts of the world, so if there are songs that make you think of your mum, or that perhaps you as a mum would like to hear, there'll certainly be plenty of room for your requests on the show.

As always there'll be plenty of Ausie and Kiwi music, and lots of friendly chat, so I hope you'll join me from 4 PM Eastern on Friday, 8 PM in the UK, or 6 AM Saturday morning in eastern Australia.

On the show a couple of weeks ago, a few people expressed interest in my smoker and how it worked. Last weekend of course we wanted to honour ANZAC Day, and demonstrating a smoker didn't seem like an appropriate thing to do.
However, this week, I've ventured out the back and recorded a demo for you which I'll be featuring on the show.

Hi, or G'day mate, as we'd say here in Aus.
I'm Damo, and I'm delighted to be back broadcasting on Mushroom FM, where my internet radio days began, way back on the 30th of May 2010.

Being proudly Australian, and living as I do, in the river city of Brisbane, you're bound to here quite a bit of music from Australia and New Zealand on the show. I'm also a keen foody, and love cooking outdoors, and, I'm a smoker... no not that kind of smoker, I love making my own smoked meats, so this week on the show, I'll tell you about some of the gadgets I use, and things I like to cook.
