As the Mushroom FM programming spins up to full speed for 2022, we have several exciting improvements to report including a dramatically expanded music library from our four decades and an even easier to use accessible online player. However, the big news we’d like to cover today is the availability of our very own Alexa skill and Google Action.
Hi.
Well after a rather long and relaxing summer break, I'm back with Damo's All Day Breakfast for 2022.
this week, in addition to the usual array of Aussie and Kiwi music, I'm reviewing my latest toy. It's a device called a Network Radio, and it's basically the ham radio you have when you haven't got a ham radio, or, for that matter, a ham license. To find out what I'm on about, you'll need to tune in.
Hi, I’m Scott Best, and I’m honoured to be looking after Steve Cutway’s time slot while he’s away. The fun starts this Saturday!
I’m hosting a new show called Easy Street. If you like The Early Years, I think you’ll enjoy my show as well. I’ll be playing easy listening favourites from the 50s, 60s and 70s, along with standards from the Great American Songbook, by classic and contemporary artists. I’ll also throw in some big band and instrumental tunes for good measure.
From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 6pm Saturday in NZ, 4pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movies Fort Apache from 1948 and In the Heat of the Night from 1967.
Fort Apache is a 1948 American Western film directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne and Henry Fonda.
The film was the first of the director's "cavalry trilogy" and was followed by She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) and Rio Grande (1950), both also starring Wayne.
Deep dive is playing two more on encore shows before we return to live programming. This week we will feature the incredible talents of American singer Linda Ronstadt. This show was played in 2021.
Tune in at 4 PM Eastern on Monday, which is 8 AM Tuesday in eastern Australia. Alternatively at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, which is 10 PM in eastern Australia.
Enjoy the music, and start thinking about who you would like to propose for deep dive to make a program on. Send your emails to graeme@mushroomfm.com
Hello! Sara Hillis here again to let you know that I've got a little bit for everyone this week on Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show here on Mushroom FM. There are songs about trains and songs about buses, and there's even a song about Tom Dooley Junior! Spoiler alert, the acorn doesn't fall very far from the oak. I promise it will be an interesting journey as always, so why not come along?
Catch Come by the hills live on Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesday at 5:00 AM Eastern. However and whenever you listen, I hope you'll enjoy it!

The calendar may read 2022, but in Studio 70, we are still taking care of pet rocks, wearing our mood rings, and lighting our shag carpeted dens with lava lamps.
Make a New Year’s resolution to tune into Studio 70—starting back up on January 10 on Mushroomfm.
Join Bonnie Mosen, and the Usual Suspects every weekday at 11:00 a.m. and p.m. ET.
You can tune in via mushroomfm.com or any of your favorite music apps, or just ask your virtual assistant to play mushroomfm.
