Well, I have kept myself isolated, with one mask, and had all the vaccines available, but finally, it has got me. I have caught the dreaded lugie. Hopefully, because I am well vaccinated, it will be a mild dose.
however, for this week‘s deep drive I have gone to the vault and discovered the beautiful warm Canadian voice of Anne Murray. We will sing a song to the Snowbird, decide to let’s keep it that way, and put on another pot of tea. I am sure you will enjoy this programme.

After you've enjoyed Mushroom FM's 12-hour celebration of Sir Paul McCartney's 80th birthday tomorrow, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me for The Early Years.
Sir Paul McCartney isn't the only musician celebrating an 80th birthday this week. Brian Wilson, leader of the Beach Boys and a solo artist, turns 80 on Monday.

The “Juke In The Back” is proud to feature Jimmy Coe, a great 1950s saxophonist, bandleader and session man who is often ignored today.

55 Years ago, a young Paul McCartney was plaintively asking if we'd still need if, and feed him, when he was 64. It's hard to believe, but this Saturday, Sir Paul McCartney, recognised as one of the greatest lyricists and composers ever, blows out 80 candles. Mushroom FM has special programming to celebrate, starting at 5 AM Eastern, 10 AM in the UK. Check our schedule to find out when that is in your time zone.

Yes, it's that time again on Mushroom FM's Folk and Celtic music show, when we devote the whole three hours to the life and music of Stan Rogers, an amazing musician from Canada whose music is known around the world. We'll explore various themes in the music and even share some dramatic collaborations between Rogers and CBC Radio. We do this in June every year, because it was in June that Stan tragically died in a plane accident on his way home from a United States folk festival at the age of thirty-three.
