After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me for The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional
nod to other decades and genres.
It's more than an occasional nod to other decades and genres this week. After I play two songs to finish my tribute to Ian Tyson begun last week, I'll begin a unique survey of 50 Canadian tracks.

Charles Brown was the "King of Smoky Blues" for over 50 years. Growing up in Texas City, TX, he studied classical piano while focusing his interests on science, becoming a chemistry teacher for a short time.
Hello! Sara Hillis here to let you know that, unfortunately, I need to take a hopefully short break from doing Mushroom things. I just found out last evening that my father has died, and I can tell you right now that I just can't summon the energy to do the radio host thing at the moment. I barely managed to record today's show, but it was difficult. So, I hope to be back with you on Monday for Sara Smiles, but we'll see how my sleep is affected going forward and such.
