Movie 1: Casino Royale (1967)

Casino Royale (1967) is a British-American spy comedy based loosely on Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel. The film features David Niven as Sir James Bond, a retired secret agent who is persuaded to return to service to combat the mysterious organisation SMERSH.
The story begins when Bond is approached by representatives of the British intelligence services and asked to help stop SMERSH. Bond decides to recruit several agents, including Evelyn Tremble, who is assigned to take on the identity of James Bond and face SMERSH agent Le Chiffre at a high-stakes baccarat game.
As the elaborate scheme unfolds, the characters become caught up in a series of bizarre and increasingly chaotic events involving secret agents, assassins, double-crosses, and disguises. The film features a large ensemble cast and several different directors, giving it an intentionally unconventional and surreal style.
Directed by John Huston, Kenneth Hughes, Robert Parrish, Joe McGrath, and Val Guest, Casino Royale combines spy-film conventions with broad comedy and psychedelic 1960s humour. With its star-studded cast and deliberately chaotic storyline, the film stands apart from the more traditional James Bond films that followed.

Movie 2: Sea of Love (1989)

Sea of Love (1989) is a crime thriller starring Al Pacino as a New York City detective investigating a series of murders that appear to be connected to personal advertisements in a newspaper.
The story follows Detective Frank Keller, a veteran police officer who is assigned to investigate the killings alongside his partner, Detective Sherman Touhey. The victims are men who have placed personal advertisements seeking romantic relationships, and the detectives believe the killer may be using the advertisements to select their targets.
During the investigation, Keller meets Helen Cruger, a woman he encounters through a personal advertisement. Despite his suspicions, he becomes romantically involved with her while continuing to investigate the murders. As more evidence emerges, Keller begins to question whether Helen could be connected to the crimes.
Directed by Harold Becker, the film combines police investigation, suspense, romance, and psychological tension. With a strong central performance from Al Pacino, Sea of Love explores the difficulties of balancing professional suspicion with personal attraction as Keller gets closer to discovering the truth.
