Time Tunnel Tunes is just a bit bigger and on at its new time! Join me, Geno J for 3-hours of tunes from another specific year tomorrow, Wednesday (January 6th, 2021) at 6 pm Eastern! If you’d like to choose a year or learn more about this week's episode, keep reading!
It's Jonathan here, taking a break from my holiday to pay a special tribute to Gerry Marsden, founder and leader of Gerry and the Pacemakers, who has died of a heart infection in Liverpool aged 78.
Gerry and the Pacemakers, for a brief period, were a hugely successful band, riding in on the coat tails of the Beatles and playing a key role in the Mersey sound. They were also the first group in UK chart history to have their first three singles reach number one.
Well, here we are at last. It's 2021! However, even though the year has changed, you've still got a date with great Folk and Celtic music tonight. Join me, Sara Hillis, at 8:00 PM Eastern for three hours of the best the Folk world has to offer, including some music that's new to the show from artists we love such as Meg Davis and Pentangle! There may even be some Me Music along the way. Who knows? Anything can happen on a live show!

Hi.
For many people in the southern hemisphere summer time is when we take a break from work, and other things, and get some much needed rest. Over the next few weeks I'll be doing exactly that. So while I'm having a break until the 24th of January, we'll be playing some of my favourite shows from 2020. that's why I'm calling it "The best of Damo's All Day Breakfast."
These include my interview with Camp Oven cooking expert Ranger Nick, my chat with Belinda O'Connor about bioptic driving, and my interview with peter Black about ham radio.
During the Australian summer - until Australia day on 26 January - Deep Dive will be taking a break. However, we will still be around on Mushroom FM playing five encore shows which you have chosen.
We'll hear from
* A male American singer and Comedian,
* A female singer with Caribean roots who made her career in the United Kingdom,
* An american rock band with a real southern sound,
* A female american singer who is simply the best, and
* An english male singer and pianist who is still standing.
There may come a time when we’ll be sitting in our rocking chairs, boring our grandchildren senseless about the tough times of 2020 and how young people today don’t know what hard times are. But right now, 2020 is our reality and it’s been incredibly challenging for many. This year is also a special one because it heralds the end of a decade and the start of a new one with all its promise and uncertainty.
Join me, Sara Hillis, tonight at 8:00 Eastern for a dip into Come by the Hills history as we look back at one of our most popular episodes of 2020. Yes, it's an encore presentation of the Joni Mitchell Archives episode from November 1. I hope you'll enjoy it, whether it's new to you or not, and I will certainly be with you again live in the new year.
Catch Come by the Hills tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland.
