From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 5pm Saturday in NZ, 3pm in Sydney and 4am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movies At First Sight from 1999, and Three men and a baby from 1987.
At First Sight is a 1999 American romantic drama film directed by Irwin Winkler and starring Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino.

As you'd expect, there is an enormous amount of excitement and publicity surrounding what will be the Beatles' final song, "Now and Then". Only a handful of people in the know would have predicted that 2023 would be a year in which we heard brand new Beatles music.

Join me, Jonathan Mosen, for a two hour live listening party on Mushroom FM at 9 AM Eastern on Thursday. Check our schedule to find out where that is where you are. It will be replayed 12 hours later, but if you possibly can, since this is history being made, you'll want to hear this live.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
This week, the "Juke In The Back" spotlights the "Prince of Primitive Cool," Rosco Gordon. His mostly self-penned tunes, feature his unique blend of mid-tempo shuffle with a slightly behind-the-beat rolling barrelhouse piano line. He was a master at making his recordings sound rough, but there was also a lot of blues sophistication buried under the simplicity.

This week on Deep Dive we take a road less travelled and enjoy the talents of singer-songwriter Charlie Dore. We experience sister revenge, are falling, and hear about a dog out looking for his day.

Join me at 4 PM Eastern Monday, which is 7 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM on Wednesday, which is 9 PM in Eastern Australia. Just tell that SmartSpeaker of yours to play Mushroom FM and you will be there momentarily.

Deep Dive, where we focus on one artist for one whole hour. And guess what? It can be heard exclusively on Mushroom FM, home of the fun guys.

It’s Jonathan Mosen, inviting you to share a special moment with me this coming Thursday at 9 AM Eastern, when I host a live show counting down to the Beatles final song, “Now and Then”.

You won’t have to have heard too many of my radio shows to know how important the Beatles are in my life. I know many of the Mushroom FM family share that sentiment.

Once again, we have reached one of those exciting parts of the year where clocks are changing at different times around the world. If you live in a country where clocks are reverting to Standard Time this weekend, please note that you are doing this one week before North America. Since Mushroom FM observes North American Eastern time for our schedules, all the programming on Mushroom FM and Mushroom Escape will air an hour earlier than you are used to for one week until the clocks go back in North America.

After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first half of the Rock and Roll era with nods to other decades and genres.
Well, it's my 74th birthday tomorrow so I'll be having a musical party to which you're invited.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.

October is drawing to an end, and this can only mean one thing: I'm starting to prepare for November's National Novel-writing Month event. Well, alright, so it means two things. The thing I wanted to tell you about is the upcoming Hallowe'en episode of Come by the Hills! (Yes, I'll probably say "howls" instead of "hills" throughout the show.) If you dare to listen, you'll hear tales of otherworldly encounters guaranteed to put you in a spooky frame of mind!

Our look at offshore radio moves into the 1970s this weekend, with the story of Radio North Sea International.

With powerful transmitters broadcasting on AM, FM and shortwave, Radio North Sea International was equipped for success. But European governments were making offshore broadcasting increasingly difficult. The station faced government jamming, an attempted hijacking and a bombing.
