From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 6pm Saturday in NZ, 4pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movies The Teahouse of the August Moon from 1956, and the Fountainhead from 1949.
The Teahouse of the August Moon is a 1956 American comedy film directed by Daniel Mann and starring Marlon Brando.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
This week, the entire "Juke In The Back" is loaded with records from the catalog of Duke and Peacock Records.
Don Robey started Peacock in 1949 in order to record Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, whom he also managed. In 1953, Robey took over Duke Records (which was owned by David J. Mattis and Bill Fitzgerald) and a R&B empire was born.

This week on Deep Dive, through an archive programme, we enjoy the wonderful voice and outstanding lyrics of American folk singer Joan Baez. We hear about the night they drove old Dixie down, long for Jesse and decide that it ain't me babe.

Then you will enjoy hearing all of these questions asked musically on The Song Remembers When. Tune in at 4 pm Eastern this Sunday, March 3, (and, seriously, my question is how on Earth is it March already?) I will bring you songs that ask questions in their titles. I'm sure I will play songs that bring back memories for you, and possibly a few songs you've never heard before. Can't join me on Sunday? No problem!

Yes, today's the day for another awesome episode of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show on Mushroom FM. This week, I'll be playing songs with names in them. We'll have some songs about John or Jack, some songs about Jenny, at least one song about a redheaded Anne, and several songs about Robin, not to mention a couple of williams. We'll also do some dreaming and hear some lovely harp music. I hope you can join me!
