From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 4pm Saturday in NZ, 2pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movie Doctor Zhivago from 1965, followed by some of my nana’s favourite music.
Doctor Zhivago is a 1965 epic historical romance film directed by David Lean with a screenplay by Robert Bolt, based on the 1957 novel by Boris Pasternak.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.

This week, through an encore programme, we enjoy the outstanding talents of English singer and all-round entertainer Elton John. We meet Daniel, a tiny dancer, and hear he is still standing. It will be an amazing programme of musical entertainment.

Join me at 4 PM Eastern Monday, and 6 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, 8 PM in Eastern Australia. Murmur sweetly - but not too softly - to that SmartSpeaker of yours to play Mushroom FM, and it will grant your wish in a flash.

It's almost time for another live from the 7th floor edition of Come by the Hills, the Folk and Celtic music show on Mushroom FM! I've got a great mix of music as usual, and because the show is live, whatever I have decided to play could well change, either on my own whim or on yours! So, even if you can't stay for the full three hours, I hope you'll come along and spend some time.

Catch Come by the Hills live from the 7th floor on Sundays at 8:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesdays at 5:00 AM Eastern. However and whenever you listen, I hope you'll enjoy the show!

This Monday’s Mosen Explosion pays tribute to someone special.

In the early hours of 14 April, my Mum, Pauline Mosen, died. In a Mushroom Fm context, she was also mother-in-law to Bonnie, Nanna of Anthony, and a loyal, devoted, supportive Mushroom Fm listener. Those of you who were interacting with Mushroom Fm on Twitter a few years ago may well have chatted with her.

Does Vladimir Putin really have an alergy? Is our fast food industry responsible for that? That, plus the fascinating background story behind Spanky And Our Gang, and, quite frankly, the best 60's through 80's tunes on the planet,
presented by the fungal, funjiest man this side of the chism Trail.
How to keep your drain from plugging up so you dont' have to call maintenance. and alcohol, is it actually good for you? How much? Who is Tony Orlando really? The Snowman's take on all the latest breaking History, and don't forget that wonderfully mellow second hour.

After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
