After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
The top 100 of 1964 continues this week with an interruption in hour 2 to remember my brother, Bruce, who died four years ago tomorrow at the age of 67. I'll play six songs between 1958 and 1968 that he always liked.

The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
Bandleader, pianist, composer and sometimes vocalist Buddy Johnson and his chanteuse sister Ella are in the spotlight on this week's "Juke In The Back."
Johnson was a superstar and one of the hottest live acts of the 1940s in the Black Community, but he barely made a dent with White audiences, though a few of his records actually did cross over into the Pop Chart.

This week on Deep Dive we pay tribute to the old story-teller, American singer and song writer Tom T. Hall. We meet the poet and the cow boy, visit the old side of town, and like beer.

Hello! Sara Hillis here once again to let you know that I've got a rather eclectic three hours of Folk and celtic music for you this week on Come by the Hills! We'll play the eighteen-minute awesomeness that is Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie in honour of the reluctant heroine of the song, Alice Brock, who died at the age of eighty-three just a week before American Thanksgiving. This is rather poetic, given the plot of the song. But that's not all!

The top 100 of 1964 continues this week with brief interruptions in both hours for a birthday celebration. My friend of more than 56 years, John, celebrates a milestone birthday tomorrow, the same one I celebrated in late October.
