Next Monday, Apple’s Worldwide developers conference begins with a big reveal. We’ll find out about many of the key new features in iOS 10, the operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that will be released later in the year. We’ll learn about the name and feature set of the next version of the operating system for the Mac, which may even get a new name. There may be software announcements pertaining to Apple Watch and Apple TV, and who knows what other surprises Apple may have in store.

This blog post announces a significant new chapter for Mushroom FM, taking us in a direction we’ve not travelled before. It may be considered a radical new direction, so I’d like to take some time to explain to our loyal mushroom crowd what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and why we think that you’ll be glad we’re doing it.

It feels like it's a long weekend every other week somewhere. But finally, it's New Zealand's turn. Major squee!
One is celebrating Queen's Birthday Weekend here, as one does on the first Monday in June every year. So it seems like a great opportunity to dust off those Queen albums and make Freddy and the boys one's featured artists on this week's Mosen Explosion. No one ever got fired for playing Queen tracks, one tells you, so one hopes that one is safe for another week.

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee, on this week’s Bonair, we remember Muhammad Ali! Saturday night, the time is right, on mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music apps 6:00 – 8:00 it’ll be great. We’ll take your requests from the East and from the West—playing tunes to make you swoon. The songs we play honour Cassius Clay, to help you fight another day. He was Ali’s rival, but we have to eat for survival, so in “Food for Thought” we’ll take a look from George Foreman’s cookbook. So you’re in the know, here’s how to contact the show.

Hi everyone. The Pop Vault has plenty of exciting finds to show you in just a few minutes time from 12 PM Eastern, 5 PM UK. Our selection this week includes an upbeat number 1 from Robbie Williams, alongside album tracks from Taylor Swift, Dido and the Fratellis. We'll also showcase the opening track from the Moulettes' Preternatural album released last Friday. All in all, a busy time is guaranteed!

Yeah we've got the tunes mates, we've got the tunes.
The shows when mark Wilson puts in an appearance are always very popular, and he's back on this week's Mosen Explosion. The keyboard's connected to the mixer, the microphone is set up behind the keyboard in case Mark bursts into song, and we're ready to go live with the tunes. All we need now are your requests. Drop me an email to jonathan at mushroomfm dot com and let us know what you'd like to hear on the piano from Mark.

Lord Willin and the creek don’t rise it’s Bonair Saturday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. EST on mushroomfm.com and in all your fav apps. This past week has been filled with rain, thunder, lightning, wind, and did I mention rain? But it’s always sunny on Bonair, so tune in for two fun filled hours of great tunes, stimulating conversation, and maybe a recipe in “Food for Thought.” Jonathan and I attended Nicola’s school play so there will be much conversation of elementary and high school drama—the theatrical kind. I love to interact with listeners, so don’t be shy!

This Saturday night, at 11 Pm Eastern, that’s 4AM Sunday in the UK, and 3Pm Sunday in New Zealand, the Shed is going all KIWI.
It’s the last show for the Month of May, and it’s almost the end of New Zealand Music Month as well.
So for four hours, I’ll be playing all KIWI music, and I’ll be happy to play any KIWI music requests you have.
Just simply e-mail: anthony at mushroomfm dot com
Or find me on Twitter: @kiwisnake
Looking forward to seeing ya.

What? Talking about the Mosen Explosion already? I tell you we're just super duper organised.
