A Very Special Encore Presentation, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Hello, hello, and for everyone celebrating Pascha (Orthodox Easter,) Christ is risen! Sara Hillis here to tell you about a very special encore presentation of Come by the Hills airing this week. On the surface, it would seem that this particular show might be best forgotten, as it took place in March of this year when our server was down due to circumstances beyond our control. But for me, it's a very special show, because it helped to reinforce the feeling of community which is an integral part of Mushroom FM's reason for being.

Encore Presentation Time, for the Next Two Weeks on Come by the Hills

Greetings! Sara Hillis here again to tell you that for the next two weeks on Come by the Hills, we'll be dipping into the recent archives for a couple of fun episodes. This week, it'll be the Loreena McKennitt and Live Music episode from February, and next week, you'll get to hear the show that almost wasn't from March. I had intended to do a live show this week, but I slept badly last night and don't feel I have the energy. Next week, it's Orthodox Easter, and I'll be doing a lot of services over the weekend with my church.

The Awesome Music Continues, this Week on Come by the hills!

Greetings one and all! Sara Hillis here to tell you that once again I'm back with three hours of amazing Folk and Celtic music for you not too long from now! Join me live for Come by the hills on Mushroom FM today at 8:00 PM Eastern where we'll hear music from The Real mcKenzies, The High Kings, and we'll pay tribute in song to Nova Scotia on the very sad anniversary of the mass shooting that took place there last year. It will be a great time, and I hope you can come along and hang out!

Greetings! Sara Hillis here to announce the impending arrival of yet another episode of Come by the Hills, Mushroom FM's Folk and Celtic music show! Once again, we'll have three hours of great music and another "come by the Hills Hangout" on Clubhouse. It really is one of the highlights of my week, and I hope it is one of yours as well.

Spring Comes to Come by the Hills!

Greetings!

Sara Hillis here to tell you about the upcoming episode of Mushroom FM's Folk and Celtic music show, Come by the Hills! The robins began to sing outside my window today, so that means that spring is here. Even if winter returns for a while, I know I heard the robin, so therefore, it's spring! Accordingly, we will be having songs about spring during the show, as well as plenty of other music for your enjoyment.

Celebrating Saint Patrick's Day, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Faith and bigora! It's that time o' year again when we put on our green togs and lift a glass to the man (a Welshman incidentally) who drove the snakes out of Ireland! It's three hours of Irish-themed music, and it all starts on Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time. Yes, it's that time o' year again too! We're springing forward here in North America, so the times they are a-changing. Keep on top of all the upcoming time-changes at our schedule page.

This Week's Come by the Hills Archive Now Available!

Hello again, Sara Hillis just popping round again to say that the show did indeed go on despite the server problems, and there is an archive of all three hours of it that can be found here. Thanks to all who hung in there and reassured me that they were indeed listening when we came back on the air! It was certainly an interesting night!

Three Hours of Thunderously Fantastic Music, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, Sara Hillis here once again to give you a wee taste of what's coming up on this week's episode of Mushroom FM's premier Folk and Celtic music show! First, we will be broadcasting from the shiny new server, which at this time last week was barely a gleam in the management's eye! (Well, it might have been at least a glimmer.) Also, we'll be playing a few songs in our first hour by a listener-recommended group from England called The Young'uns. We'll hear a sea shanty from tom Lewis, a song about maple syrup (at least tangentially,) and we'll fulfill some requests.
