After you've enjoyed The Mosen Explosion, don't touch that device and join me for The Early Years where you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
This week, it's part 3 of my listener-suggested theme begun two weeks ago, "Seconds". If an artist's first song reached #1, what did their second song do? As you'll hear, some did well and others didn't. I'll pick up the theme in early 1957 where I left off last week and continue to early 1961.

This week, the “Juke In The Back” features a rhythm & blues vocal group from Winston-Salem, NC that not only influenced James Brown, but quite possibly the entire soul movement of the late ’50s into the 1960s; The “5” Royales.
