Remembering Jack Scott and 1959 music this week on The Early Years!
Like Snow White FM, The Early Years doesn't take a break either, even if there are those who wish it would. That's because The Early Years precedes Snow White FM and Snow White FM follows The Early Years. Cool that.
Syntactically, it's the end of the decade even though the Common Era started in year 1 not year 0. 60 years ago, the fifties decade was becoming the sixties decade even though the purists dispute that; just like they believe that 2020 is the end of a decade rather than the beginning of one.
This week, I'll say goodbye to the fifties by playing music primarily from 1959. I'll also pay tribute to singer and songwriter Jack Scott, a transplanted Canadian, who died Dec. 12 at the age of 83.
You can contact me any time by email at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows; and anything else you want to talk about as well.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years when I bid farewell to the fifties, tonight at 06:00 PM, before Snow White FM. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
