On Sunday 5 July, Mushroom FM will be performing an upgrade to our online player. This is the player that lets you listen to the fun guys from our website.

Once we perform that upgrade, our online player will no longer support Internet Explorer. Every other method of listening to Mushroom FM, including with a modern browser, will be unaffected.

Thank you so much for all your positive comments about recent episodes, particularly the Samsung TU8500 review and our post-WWDC recap. The latter was recorded the moment the keynote concluded and I have unearthed a lot more information since then.

Dame Vera Lynn has died aged 103. That is certainly a life well lived, and yet like many others her death has deeply saddened me.

Dame Vera was a part of the soundtrack of my childhood. My parents were fans, so I grew up listening to her music. I loved it then, and I love it now. Her pure voice, perfect diction, and plaintive songs of hope still move me. She has been a part of the soundtrack of my adulthood too, in particular, "We'll Meet Again" was played at the end of my dad's funeral service.

It’s back in its original music-dominated form, but bigger than before with a massive five hours every week!

It’s the beginning of a new era this weekend as we bring you Mosen At Large live on Mushroom FM from 2 until 5 PM Eastern on Saturday, that’s 7 to 10 PM in the UK, and bright and early on Sunday morning from 6 until 9 AM in New Zealand.

Another week has rapidly rolled around and it’s nearly time for another Mosen Explosion on Mushroom FM.

This week, I’ll be making an announcement about my future on Mushroom FM. No, I’m not going anywhere, but things are going to be a bit different shortly. I’ll explain what and why.

Ah, those were the days, my friend, we thought they’d never end. We’d sing and dance, forever…sorry, sorry. It was only a week ago when I was last on the Mosen Explosion, talking about some of the confusion surrounding compatibility between the forthcoming Sonos ARC, the Apple TV 4K, and Dolby Atmos. I made it very clear that I was not going to be forced into replacing my perfectly good television with another, just for the Sonos ARC. Oh no I was not. Get outa here!

Another Mosen Explosion is fast approaching on Mushroom FM, and with it, the end of a long-running series. Back in 2013 on the show, we began celebrating the 50th anniversaries of the official Beatles album releases. This weekend, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Let It Be album. Thankfully, the Beatles haven’t remixed this one. It of course received a do-over in 2003 with the Let It Be Naked album, taking out all the horrible Phil Specter over-production.
