We're headed to Egypt Station on this week's Mosen Explosion

Squee! The first new album of original material from Sir Paul McCartney since 2013 is now out. It’s called Egypt Station, and it is his 17th studio album. Already, it’s earned him his first top 10 billboard hit since 1997, and there are some fine tracks on the album.

This week on The Mosen Explosion, I’ll be playing a few selected tracks from the album, along with Sir Paul discussing the inspiration behind them.

More jaw-dropping songs tonight on The Early Years!

Join me for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best variety of music from the 50s and 60s with an nod to other decades, including music from before the rock era which is generally accepted as starting in 1955.
I'm back from my travels and as promised three weeks ago, Jaw-dropping songs are back this week. What are jaw-dropping songs? As defined by a regular listener, jaw-dropping songs are songs that made you stop and listen the first time you heard them, whether you ultimately liked them or not; or songs that made you say, "what the frig!"

All our features are in their proper places, and there are a couple of songs in honour of the Labour Day Weekend here in Canada, as well as our usual fine range of folk and celtic favourites for your listening pleasure.

Celebrating Senator McCain through Music on this week's Studio 70

It’s a special Studio 70’s this Thursday at 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Est on wwww.mushroomfm.com and in all your favorite apps.
The world lost an officer, a gentleman, family man, and statesman this week, and we will be remembering Senator John McCain in music.
No matter what side of the political fence you sit on, Senator McCain was what a politician should be.
We are taking songs from his top ten playlist as reported by NPR in 2008 and mixing them amongst the usual music from the seventies.

Another perspective on summer tonight on The Early Years

Sandwiched between The Mosen Explosion and Come By The Hills is a little show I call The Early Years.
It's a variety of 50s and 60s music this week. For the first hour and forty minutes or so, I'll present the 20 top songs of the 60s in the Summer as chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine. In the remaining twenty minutes of the show, you'll hear a variety of music from the 50s and 60s including that A-side I talked about last week that went nowhere.
