Summer continues for Deep Dive

Here in Australia, the weather is still hot, with thunderstorms and all the other signs of summer. And, due to the special repeat of our Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young programme last week, we still have one encore programme left in our summer series which will play next week.

It's our Deep Dive birthday edition from last May, where Chief Fun Guy Jonathan Mosen joins the programme and chooses his favourite Beatles songs, and what great choices he makes.

Deep Dive celebrates the life of David Crosby

Deep Dive has been playing encore shows since last year during summer, but we are back a week early to celebrate the life of David Crosby who died last week.

Talented singer and composer, and member of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, we will share his music with you in the programme this week. Our programme on the Beatles, featuring chief Fun Guy Jonathan Mosen, will move back to the week of 30 January.

Deep Dive Christmas day and summer shows

Deep Dive will be popping into your ears for Christmas. We have a special Christmas show for you for two hours, playing at 8 PM Eastern on Christmas eve, and at midday on Christmas day in Australia. It comes from Australia, and it is all about Australia, so for those of you in the northern hemisphere enjoy a little Australian Christmas warmth.

Just say Merry Christmas to your SmartSpeaker, and then ask it to play Mushroom FM and you will be there faster than Santa's sleigh

Deep Dive celebrates Christmas

This week on Deep Dive we are changing our format in celebration of Christmas. We enjoy a range of artists, pretty much all Australian, sharing their views of Christmas. The Sunny Cowgirls make several appearances, as do Olivia Newton-John, who sadly died this year, and Bucho and Champs. It's a delightful hour of Christmas merriment Aussie style.

Deep Dive says let's keep it that way

This week on Deep Dive we enjoy the warm voice of renowned Canadian singer Anne Murray. We meet a daydream believer, the snowbird, and cotton Jenny.

Join me at 4 PM Eastern Monday which is 8 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Wednesday Eastern, which is 10 PM in Eastern Australia. Simply tell that SmartSpeaker of yours to play Mushroom FM and it will whisk you there in a trice.

Deep Dive tells me sweet little lies

The passing of singer-songwriter Christine Macvie last week caused me to reach back into the vault for the programme on Fleetwood Mac. We make lovin' fun, have sweet dreams and hear about Rainin.

Tune in on Monday at 4 PM Eastern, which is 8 AM Tuesday in Eastern Australia. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, which is 10 PM in Eastern Australia. Mushroom FM can be found on SmartSpeakers everywhere.

Deep Dive here's from the morning DJ

This week on Deep Dive we enjoy some great stories from the talented US entertainer Harry Chapin. We go flying in his taxi, hear about a lot of bananas, and meet the morning DJ.

Deep Dive has no secrets

We reach back into the vault again this week to late 2020 and enjoy the awesome talents of Carly Simon. We meet Jesse, haven't got time for the pain, and learn that you're so vain.

Deep Dive makes love out of nothing at all

I am working very long hours as we approach the end of the year and so did not have time to make a programme. So we have reached back into the vault to September 2020 to enjoy the musical talents of Australian soft rock band Air Supply. We bring out the magic, are all out of love, and experience love and other bruises.

Deep Dive meets the entertainer

This has been a very busy week for me, and I have not had a chance to get in front of a microphone. So we reach back in the vault to August last year and enjoy the excellent lyrics and musicianship of Billy Joel. We learn that she's got a way, hear about moving out, and got into a New York state of mind.
