One of my favourite satirists and comedians of all time, Tom Lehrer, blows out 89 candles on the 9th of April.
Tom Lehrer wrote songs when it interested him, and didn’t when it didn’t. This means that his total body of work is small, but the quality is absolutely superb.
Come By The Hills is coming your way again this week with three more hours of the best in Celtic music from around the world. We'll have a good selection of jigs and reels, a balad or two, an amazing Celtic harp experience, and a "Celtic Cover" which is recycled but which is no less interesting for that.
So if it's Celtic music you crave, tune into Mushroom FM on Sunday night at 8:00 PM Eastern for Come By The Hills! The show is replayed every week on Friday morning at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland.
The Juke In The Back” focuses on the “soul that came before rock n’ roll,” the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
Something’s cooking on this week’s “A Cuppa at the Mosens” Thursday 9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EST on www.mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music apps. A few weeks ago, we discussed keeping house—hiring cleaners, doing your own cleaning etc. This show’s focus is on another aspect of domestic bliss, cooking. Whether you are a gourmet chef or can barely boil water, we want to hear your kitchen celebrations and catastrophes.
When you hear the dying strains of Van Halen's Happy Trails signalling the end of The Mosen Explosion for another week, don't touch your PC, your mobile device or your internet radio and join me in The Early Years on Mushroom FM.
Hello, I'm Steve Cutway inviting you to enjoy two hours of the best music from the 50s and 60s. I'll have my regular features including a tripple play that combines a same title different song with an artist twin spin. There will be lots of chart information and reminiscences.
I tell you, it’s no wonder this crazy world in which we live is so full of earthquakes, floods, climate change, and despicable soup of all flavours. We bring it on ourselves by messing on such a regular basis with the elemental forces of time.
This Sunday, the Juno awards for the best in Canadian music are being given out. However, not to be outdone, Come by the Hills will be presenting a program of Celtic music with a Canadian flare. We have some Juno-nominated and Juno-winning artists on the bill in both "Fiddlin' Around" and "Celtic Covers," and of course there's "Me Music," which is Canadian by default. While I can't promise that all of the music has a Canadian connection, I can promise that all of it will be fun and interesting.

The doctor is in, or is she? On this week’s “A Cuppa at the Mosens” Thursday 9:00 – 11:00 EST on www.mushroomfm.com and in all your fav music apps our attention turns to the topic of healthcare. Surveys suggest that persons with disabilities often feel disenfranchised by the healthcare community.
