From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 6pm Saturday in NZ, 4pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movies To Kill a Mockingbird from 1962, and 12 Angry Men from 1957.
To Kill a Mockingbird is a 1962 American drama film directed by Robert Mulligan.
The screenplay by Horton Foote is based on Harper Lee's 1960 Pulitzer Prize –winning novel of the same name.
Today I learned with great sadness of the death of Rich Ring, who was a former broadcaster here on Mushroom FM.
The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
After 218 episodes, we have concluded the remarkable series “The Lost Lennon Tapes”, so it’s time to use our rockumentary slot to profile another legend.
For the next 13 weeks, Mushroom Fm will be running “The Elvis Presley Story”. Presented by Wink Martindale, a broadcast legend and one of Elvis’s long-time friends. It features rare content and interviews with Elvis himself and others from his inner-circle.
Whether you’re an Elvis fan or you simply want to understand what all the fuss was about, “The Elvis Presley Story” is a must-hear.
This week on Deep Dive we enjoy the harmonies and talents of Australia's Little River Band. We hear about the lonesome loser, learn that help is on its way, and experience a cool change.
Tune in at 4 PM Eastern Monday, which for those in Australia is 8 AM Tuesday. Or at 6 AM Eastern Wednesday, which is 10 PM in Eastern Australia. Cruise up to that SmartSpeaker of yours and ask it to play Mushroom FM, out will come to the magic carpet and you will be there.
Deep Dive is where we focus on one artist for one hour, and it can be heard only on Mushroom FM, home of the fun guys.
Hello! Sara Hillis here to tell you what's coming up on this week's episode of Come by the Hills, Mushroom FM's Folk and Celtic music show. We're featuring the work of Loreena McKennitt, as she has celebrated a birthday recently. We will also remember the amazing master of the flugelhorn, Guido Basso, who passed away on February 13 of this year. Yes, he has a Folkish connection! And of course, we'll have our usual great mix of music for your enjoyment, and the show is live this week!

This week, I remember more artists who left us in December 2022 and January 2023 including an expanded tribute to Barrett Strong that I started late in last week's show.

From this Saturday at 12am Eastern, that’s 6pm Saturday in NZ, 4pm in Sydney and 5am in the UK, and repeated every four hours throughout the day, it’s the described movies The Elephant Man from 1980, and Chariots of Fire from 1981.
The Elephant Man is a 1980 British American biographical drama film about Joseph Merrick (John Merrick in the film), a severely deformed man in late 19th-century London.
The "Juke In The Back" focuses on the " soul that came before rock n' roll," the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
There were so many influential Rhythm & Blues artists who had a great impact on the development of Rock n' Roll, but were never able to profit from the new genre they helped to create.
