Program Reorganization
The Snowman Radio airs Saturday evening, from 8 to 11 PM eastern time.
As the program has developed, it has split into two major segments; one that is more focused on talk, and the other focused on the music. But, the talk segment has been in the middle of the program, dividing two major music segments.
My friend Steve has been joining me in the middle hour.
For some time now, I have had concern about how to satisfy what I see as two distinct audience segments, the talkers who aren't into the music, and those who don't want to hear all that talk.
Not only that, Steve is in the eastern time zone, and getting all buzzed up for a program, and then running directly to bed, hoping to mellow out and crash and get some rest for the next day creates a pretty sharp transition for him.
So, starting Saturday, June 25, Steve will move to the first hour. WE will play a few songs. But mostly, we'll be talking about whatever is on our minds, including lots of reminiscences from the 60's and 70's, plus cojent observations from two reasonably intelligent and thoughtful people.
The second hour will be mostly music, with some interjection from the friendly Snowman, more focused on up-beat hits from the 60's, and early 70's.
The third hour will be even less talk, and migrate to more mellow tracks from the late 60's bthrough to the early 80's. That third hour, especially the last half hour is really nice. If you like mellow rock, you don't want to miss out on that.
So, if talk is what you want to hear, join us at 8 PM eastern, and enjoy the waffling and rambling.
If the music is what you prefer, join the Snowman at 9 for two hours of nicely chosen music. Remember, in general, the Snowman only plays music he actually likes, which gives you a more limited selection, but one that is optomized for enjoyment by people who, to one degree or another, think like the Snowman. Come on in! The music's great! And, It's music specially chosen for People Like Us.
Finally, thanks so much for listening and enjoying the Snowman Radio, also known as SnowWhiteFM.
