The first Mosen Explosion of the year pays tribute to Meat Loaf

The Mosen Explosion was set to return on Monday with an invigorated format packed with new features. But that has been postponed by a day as we take the hour to pay tribute to meat Loaf, whose death was recently announced.

Flamboyant, larger than life, a member of a great rock partnership and singer of one of the biggest selling albums of all time, Meat Loaf was part of the soundtrack of a generation.

One of the challenges we have of course is that just as when we paid tribute to Meat Loaf’s musical partner Jim Steinman who died in April 2021, we can’t play too many songs in one hour because many of the great ones are so long. But I’ll play a few, and tell you a little about Meat Loaf’s early life, his career, and of course how he got that name.

I hope you’ll join me and that you’ll crank up Mushroom FM at 2 AM and PM Eastern on Monday,7 AM and PM in the UK, for a Meat Loaf tribute.
