Join me throughout Sunday on Mushroom Escape for Small World, the kids' programme for the whole family

Ready for another two hours of fun songs and stories? Whether you’re hearing them for the first time or the 100th time, I know you’ll be transported to some interesting places this week.

Hehehehe hee haw! Woody Woodpecker is having some fun with his animal crackers, and Shirley Temple has them in her soup! Yucky!

We have a story about a giant, told by a giant of folk music.

There are a couple of stories about hats this week, one about a silk hat, and another about a boy who has 500 hats. Imagine that! 500!

It’s always fun going to see grandparents, because when Mum and Dad aren’t around, they give us treats, let us stay up a bit later and are generally really chill and wise. I have a salute to all the cool grandparents out there on this week’s show.

We finished our two-part story about the Fantastic Mr Fox last week, so we’re starting a new multi-part story this week. It’s going to be the story of the 13 Clocks, told by a very famous actress called Lauren Bacall.

Danny Kaye is always a Small World Favourite, and he’s back this week to tell us some Hans Christian Andersen stories.

And oh, bother! It’s time we heard from Winnie the Pooh.

There’s fun to be had for kids young and old, so do join me, Jonathan Mosen, on Mushroom Escape this and every Sunday at 12, 4 and 8 AM and PM Eastern time. Yes, you have six chances to hear it. You can ask your smart thing to play Mushroom Escape, find us in all your radio apps, or listen on the website at http://Mushroomfm.com/escape, where you’ll see the schedule in your time zone, so you know when things are on where you are. Why not tell all the kids in your life, both young and young at heart?

See you soon for Small World.
