An Update from the counting room, and the Holiday Countdown Crew

Hi everyone, it's hard to believe that it's less than 48 hours since votes for the Mushroom FM Holiday Countdown went live, and I'd like to give you a quick update.

It doesn't matter how big you are, and we're minuscule, and it doesn't matter how much testing you do ahead of time, we did a lot. With technology, there'll always be a few glitches when you release it to the world. We believe Santa's elves got a candy cane stuck in the voting machine or something. So a few people who cast their votes early in the process may not have had their votes counted. If you've received two emails, one immediately confirming your vote, and another sometime after with an invitation to the Christmas party, then you're all set for 20 December. If you voted, but didn't receive either of these emails, you can either just go ahead and resubmit your vote, or email us at countdown at mushroomfm dot com, and we can confirm for you if your vote is in the system.

We're now confident that the candy canes have been kept well clear of the voting machine.

Without giving anything away, I can tell you that the countdown is looking amazing already, thanks to all of you who've voted so far. The chart has extended to 145 unique holiday songs, of which we'll be playing just the top 100 on the 20th, and of course giving away $500 at our Christmas party.
