Nore long songs and remembering a listener this week on The Early Years!
After you've enjoyed The Mosen explosion with Jonathan Mosen tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 4 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
All the long songs this week are from a 20-month window as I continue the theme I began May 7 on my return show, long songs. Last week, you heard songs from February 1973 to March 1974. This week, you'll hear songs from April 1974 to November 1975.
Bruce BRESLAUER, who with his wife, Joy, have been long-time listeners to The Early Years, perhaps as far back as the show's beginning September 25, 2016. I was saddened to learn from Joy of Bruce's passing last Wednesday before last week's show. At the beginning of hour 2, I will play three songs suggested by Joy that meant a lot to them both and one song that Bruce particularly liked. On a future show, I hope to play all the songs Bruce and Joy requested over the years just like I did for Sam Troia, who was known as "Sammy T from NYC" in early 2023 following his passing in November 2022.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows, particularly long songs.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM, where and when I will make musical and magical memories playing more long songs and remembering Bruce BRESLAUER with four songs, after The Mosen explosion with Jonathan Mosen and before Story Untold with PJ Noce. Then stay tuned for Your Favourite Blend with Nicki Keck. The Early Years will replay Friday morning at 7 AM, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and before Your Favourite Blend with Nicki Keck, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories.
