Yes, once again it's time for Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show to celebrate Halloween, that most Celtic of nights, with three hours of songs and stories from myth and legend about witches and fairies, shades and shadows. Join me round the virtual camp fire as we drive away the dark and sit a while between autumn and winter, between life and death. It'll be a scarily fun show, I can assure you!
In a world first for The Mosen Explosion, I’m writing this post on an Air New Zealand flight home from Australia. It’s amazing what these blind people can do these days isn’t it?
The Juke In The Back” focuses on the “soul that came before rock n’ roll,” the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
Our 26-episode rockumentary, "Ringo's yellow Submarine" has now concluded. So it's time to unveil the next rockumentary to occupy the 2 PM Saturday and 1 AM Monday slot. If you're a Beatles fan, you'll want to stay tuned.
One should be careful what one wishes for. Our server has been down for the past couple of hours affecting both Mushroom FM and Mushroom Escape. We don't know when it will be back. (It wanted in on Canada's action apparently.)
It's looking like The Early Years won't air as scheduled tonight (Sunday, Oct. 21). Assuming all is well by then, it will air Wednesday morning at 7 AM Eastern and again 11 hours later at 6 PM Eastern. I hope you'll be able to join me at one of those times.
Thanks very much to Jonathan for making this possible.
Join me for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best variety of music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades including music from before the rock era.
Last Wednesday, Oct. 17, the recreational use of Cannabis became legal across Canada. We're only the second country in which its use is permitted nation-wide. It's all songs about pot, or possibly about pot, this week on The Early Years. They span 15 years from 1963-78.
I'm pleased once again to bring you an episode of what has mysteriously come to be known as Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show, called in more common parliance Come by the Hills. All our features are in their proper places, including a nice "Celtic Cover" of a Bob Dylan tune, and lots more fun and fascinating music. As for the banter, you'll have to judge that for yourself.

Yes, Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show, known as Come by the Hills in order to distinguish it from all the other Celtic music shows on the Home of the Fun Guys, is back for another week of great music and banter from yours truly, Sara Hillis. We've got all our usual features including a very special by-request installment of "Me Music" and an October-related "Celtic Cover." We'll even have a bit of folkish comedy for you to sample.

Your intrepid DJ is out of commission this week with a cold and I doubt that you want to listen to me. So I'm rerunning the show I did October 15, 2017, to mark the 63rd anniversary of Elvis's first appearance on radio outside Memphis.
