When you hear the dying strains of Van Halen's Happy Trails signalling the end of The Mosen Explosion for another week, don't touch your PC, your mobile device or your internet radio and join me in The Early Years on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys.

Here in New Zealand it’s Queen’s Birthday weekend.
This means all around the country, everyone in New Zealand will be cranking up their speakers and blasting the awesome sound that is queen.
At least, they would be if I had my way..
It’s actually to celebrate the Queen’s birthday, even though it’s not actually her birthday, you see. Confused?
See, there are two good things about being part of the Commonwealth.
One, we get to watch yet another sporting event every four years.

For Saturday June 3. It's summer time, and the music is hot enough to match. And, Steve from Ohio comes out of the spring time shadows to join us, to brighten our day, and tell us what he's been up to. And, when Steve and the Snowman banter, anything can happen, and usually does. That all happens during the first hour of SnowWhiteFM, which starts at 8PM eastern Saturday. Stay in side where it's cool, and let us bring you the summer time, through your speakers. We'd love to have you join us. And, you can tweet us during the show, and we'll be watching for you.

We’re talking taxi and ride sharing services this week on A Cuppa at the Mosens, Mushroom FM’s live global call-in show where you can sound off on the issues that matter to the blind community.

Hello, I'm Steve Cutway. Variety is what tonight's show is all about as I present the best music from the 50s and 60s, not from just the rock era that is generally accepted to have started in 1955, but also from 1951 until then. I have twin spins and version comparisons to keep you entertained.

In just under half an hour from now, that’s at 11pm Eastern, 3pm Sunday here in New Zealand and 4am in the UK, we continue to celebrate New Zealand Music Month.
It’ll be four more hours of fantastic Kiwi tracks.
As it’s the last Saturday in May, it’s also the final four hour special, and what a fun month it’s been.
Plenty of requests from fellow Kiwi listeners, and so many songs I’ve not played in years, and today will be the same.
If you’d like to get in a request for your favourite Kiwi track, then simply e-mail: anthony at mushroomfm dot com

Here at Mushroom FM, we’re constantly striving to compensate for the mediocre Mosen Explosion with even better audio. Over the last couple of years, we’ve been embarking on a systematic programme of upgrading the equipment at Mosen Towers with new microphones, a new mixer, and now the programme is complete with the retirement of the trusty audio interface we’ve been using since 2009, and the introduction of a super duper new one which offers all sorts of capabilities of awesomeness. It may mean that the show sounds brighter, clearer, cleaner and just generally sparkly.

Yes, Spanky and Our Gang said it all. However, little did they know their prophetic powers, because now that Mushroom FM has Celtic music on Sunday nights right after The Early Years and before Moon Dreams, your Sunday, gentle listener, really will never be the same again!
