Three Years of Livin' the Dream, This Week on Come by the Hills!

August 21 is an auspicious day! Not only is it Bonnie Mosen's birthday, but it is also the third anniversary of the first episode of Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show, Come by the Hills! So, this Sunday, we'll be reflecting and remembering, playing music that got me interested in the Celtic sound in the first place (almost 25 years ago now), and generally having an awesome time!

Unfamiliarity breeds content tonight on The Depths.

Greetings fellow music travelers.

Tonight is really all about kicking back, stretching out, and letting the music take us away. I've got four solid hours of deep classic rock, blues, jazz, soul, funk, psychedelia, and even a little Latin flavor ready to tantalize your eardrums.

Our auditory excursion begins promptly at 11:00 PM Eastern; right after The Snowman. You can hear it again on Wednesday at 4:00 PM Eastern.

You can tweet me any time, or bollow me by clicking this link.

Come with me to that little festival in Bethel, New York, this week on The Early Years!

After you hear Jonathan's dream jingle and enjoy a party with games for Bonnie's 50th, join me for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.

On this week's Mosen Explosion, parties and milestones and jingles, oh my!

What do you do when you reach a big, humungonormous, mega milestone birthday, eh? What do you do? Well if you’re Bonnie Mosen, which you’re not of course because otherwise you’d be here living with me, you would have a kids’ party with a custom-designed Game of Thrones cake!

The CBS Radio Mystery Theater Comes to Mushroom Escape

One of the most-requested shows for Mushroom Escape has been the CBS Radio Mystery Theater, which ran on CBS from 1974 through 1982, and which produced over thirteen hundred new programs. A lot of people still remember this program from when they were younger, and for many, it was their first introduction to radio drama. Not surprisingly then, many people have requested that we add it.

Another Sunday, More Great Celtic Music, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show is back for another week. Never mind that it's Mushroom Fm's only Celtic music show. Go big or Go home, I say. Accordingly, we'll be coming to you again on Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern, right after Airplay Rewind, with three hours of folky favourites from around the world, with a healthy dose of Canadian music in the mix as usual. We'll be revisiting a lovely Beatles cover in honour of the recently-announced Abbey Road remix which is due to come out this September, and in general, it'll be a great time as always.
