Jimmy Reed was a hit-making blues machine back in the 1950s, yet he isn't as well remembered today as some of his contemporaries. This week, Matt The Cat and the "Juke In The Back" dedicate the entire program to this highly influential bluesman. Reed's mid-tempo shuffle was unique when first introduced in 1953 and has since become a part of Blues and Rock n' Roll DNA.

Last week, we lost one of the great apologists for peace and justice in the world, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Marry. So, on this week's episode of Come by the Hills, I'll be paying tribute to him and to the group by playing their songs and also some interviews. As always, requests are welcome, and if you have any memories you'd like to share about the music, you can email sara@mushroomfm.com. That way, I'll be sure to get your contributions.

After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
