On 1 June 1967, the most significant album in the history of popular music was released. In recent weeks, thousands of column inches worldwide have been devoted to this album and how it changed the face of popular music. But nothing beats hearing it, especially in its new, glorious, remixed stereophonic form.
When you hear the dying strains of Van Halen's Happy Trails signalling the end of The Mosen Explosion for another week, don't touch your PC, your mobile device or your internet radio and join me in The Early Years on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys.
Hello, I'm Steve Cutway. Variety is the watch-word for tonight's show as I'll present the best music from the 50s and 60s, not from just the rock era that is generally accepted to have started in 1955, but also from 1951 until then. I have twin spins and version comparisons to keep you entertained.
Alright, so here's what happened. I was sitting around all week procrastinating and wondering what I wanted to do for this week's episode of Come by the Hills, and then, like a firework streaking across the sky, it came to me. Since this is along weekend in Canada, why not do another "long songs" episode? (For my purposes, "long" means a duration of over 5 minutes.) So, that's what we're going to do.
Think of me struggling out of bed at 4:30 AM! 4:30 AM I tell you, to be ready to present another Mosen Explosion at 6 AM my time on a very cold morning. Sympathy? Na, I don’t deserve any of that, because it’s the highlight of my week catching up with listeners old and new, getting tweets, emails, voice messages and phone calls, as well as playing some of the greatest music ever made. I mean who could seriously ask for more than that on a Monday.
Later on tonight, from 11pm Eastern, that’s 3pm Sunday in New Zealand, and 4am in the UK, it’ll be time to crank up the Kiwi music yet again.
New Zealand Music Month continues, with four more hours of fantastic music.

The Juke In The Back” focuses on the “soul that came before rock n’ roll,” the records that inspired Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and countless others.
It's the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada and what better way to kick it off than to laugh on Funny Fridays.
You'll hear commedy from around the world including a history lesson in the first hour; a very special guest, a visit from a 1,959 year-old mummy, and a look at what probably is many people's least favourite instrument in hour 2; and meet two top 40 DJS from the 70s and the next installment of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in the third hour.
Hello all-
May is New Zealand music month. Now it's viva's turn to feature classical music of New Zealand.
We have music by Lilburn, New Zealand's first composer. We also have a piece by Gareth Farr, From the Deapths sound The great Sea Gongs. There is choral music too - by David Hamilton.
See you there on Viva: the classical music show on Sunday at 8am Eastern time.
This week on A Cuppa at the Mosens, we go with a topic suggested by a listener. We’ve divided it into two key points. What is reading, and how relevant is Braille in 2017?
Saturday night is the night when lots of folks like to go out with their friends, or engage in other activities that don't lend themselves to listening to some guy talking on the radio. And, SnowWhiteFM is not the kind of show you can turn on at the party, while everybody else is talking. I't's a show with ideas, stories, and other intriguing verbal content that you would miss if you were listening in that setting.
