Fifty years ago yesterday, Sept. 8, 1968, I became a bright-eyed, first-year freshman (called Frosh) at Queen's University in my home town of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. To say I was innocent and naive is an understatement but that quickly changed as I became accustomed to, and embraced university life.

Sandwiched between The Mosen Explosion and Come By The Hills is a little show I call The Early Years.
It's a variety of 50s and 60s music this week. For the first hour and forty minutes or so, I'll present the 20 top songs of the 60s in the Summer as chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine. In the remaining twenty minutes of the show, you'll hear a variety of music from the 50s and 60s including that A-side I talked about last week that went nowhere.
