The Mosen Explosion celebrates the great recovery

There I was, minding my own business working on the computer, when a series of unforeseen events caused a massive crash. Now there is never a good time for a computer crash to happen, but I think you would agree with me that one of the worst times for a crash to happen is 90 minutes before a show that a whole lot of people were going to tune into.

Nevertheless, such was the case, right before a Cuppa at the Mosens. For those interested, we are going to do last week's show in the coming week, so the subject matter won't be lost. And it's true what they say, all good things come to those who wait.

You know how they say that every cloud has a silver lining? Well, this cloud has two silver linings actually, so I am doubly blessed. The first silver lining is that I am back up and running with a clean install of everything, and things are running more smoothly and speedily than ever. The second silver lining is that it proves that all the meditation and character building work I've been doing over the last few years has paid dividends, because I remained remarkably Zen through the whole horrific process. But wait, there's more! There are actually three, count them, three, silver linings! The third silver lining is that I have a great story to tell for this week's Mosen Explosion, and a little bit of a rant as well. And really, does life get any better than that?

There are plenty of musical birthdays to celebrate this week, but we've decided to focus on Michael McDonald of the Doobie Bros, and play plenty of great Doobie Bros music.

We'll take a look at other interesting events that happened on this day in history, Bonnie will be here with her usual bulletin, and we're looking forward to plenty of interaction from you. That's what makes the show really worthwhile.

Don't forget, you can interact with the show by sending me an email, which can contain either good old-fashioned text or an audio file recorded on your computer or smartphone. You can follow along with the active members of the Mosen Explosion family on Twitter using the Mushroom FM hashtag. And of course, you can call in using the Mosen Explosion listener line.

All being well, if I have reinstalled everything correctly, I'll be back with you sparkling and shiny at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM UK on Sunday. That's Monday morning at 8 AM here in New Zealand. It's all happening right after Darren, on the one and only Mushroom FM. See you then.
