Why Mushroom FM?
"Mushroom FM? Why Mushroom, and you don't even broadcast on fm, bozos!" Yeah, we know, we're just weird like that.
Mushroom FM is an Internet radio station headquartered in New Zealand, but it's a global team, with 40+ fun guys in 10 countries. Yes, we're called Mushroom FM because we're the home of the fun guys, you see. Get it now?
Our philosophy is a simple one, but it's one that's seen our popularity grow, with listeners now tuning in from over 100 countries every month.
You have plenty of ways of hearing your favourite music these days. You probably carry a lot of it with you on a portable device. There are on-line services that let you choose what you hear. But that's not the same as the radio we all used to love. You know, where it felt like the DJ was just talking to us. Where we'd get a big dose of the warm fuzzies when our name was said on the radio and our request was played. Where we'd hear those cool jingles and they'd stick in our head. Where radio was a mixed bag, not devoted to one particular style of music. We missed that kind of radio, so we brought it back, and based on the reaction, it seems you missed it too.
We'll not only play you good music, but we'll entertain you with fun personalities who know their stuff, and who take pride in high audio standards. Our team is like a great big family. We love what we do, and love working with each other, and if you follow our presenters on Twitter and also track the #MushroomFM hash tag, you'll be entertained by the banter.
At the very stem of our mushroom is the Mushroom FM guarantee. Mushroom FM is no automated jukebox. All of our content, and there's now more than 130 hours of it each week, is produced by our team of fun guys. No handing over to a computer that just plays songs and promos. When we're not live, you can hear shows you missed.
Thanks for stopping by. We'd love it if you'd follow Mushroom FM on Twitter, track and use the #MushroomFM Twitter hash tag, and like Mushroom FM's page on Facebook
