Join Anthony and Jonathan for a live three-hour music special for Waitangi Day

Kia ora from new Zealand.

It’s that time of year again. 6 February is Waitangi Day, New Zealand’s national day and a public holiday here. As is often our custom, Anthony Horvath and I will be live in the studio at Mosen towers playing three hours of classic New Zealand music, and perhaps we’ll throw in a little comedy as well.

New Zealanders will be familiar with these Kiwi classics, and if you listen regularly to Mushroom Fm, you may have developed a soft spot for some of the music we’ll play as well. If you’ve not heard a lot of New Zealand music, you’re in for a treat, and there may be songs you’re very familiar with that you didn’t realise come from here.

You’re welcome to email in or send us a toot on the jolly old mastodon.

So, when is it on? You can hear it live on Waitangi Day afternoon at 2 PM in New Zealand, for three hours. That equates to 8 PM Eastern on Sunday, 1 AM on Monday morning in the UK. You can check the schedule page on the Mushroom Fm website and see when it is on where you live.

We’re looking forward to bringing you some fun Kiwiana for Waitangi Day on Mushroom FM.
