The Mosen Explosion brings cold fun in the summer time

Isn’t it funny how language keeps evolving? Recently in new Zealand, they’ve started talking about this weather phenomenon known as a “weather bomb”.

I looked it up on the Google you see, and apparently a weather bomb is a low system of extreme wind and rain. But do you know the really exciting thing about weather bombs? Do you? The technical term for weather bomb, used by all the geeky weather types, is Explosive cyclogenesis. So that means that really, the term weather bomb was inspired by the name of this radio show! Well that’s as good a bit of political spin as can be found in any Whitehouse, and I’m sticking to it.

We’ve been hit by one humungous weather bomb this week. Summer hasn’t put in much of an appearance in Wellington this year, and as I write this, it’s pouring with rain and cold.

But never fear, because the Mosen Explosive cyclogenesis is back again with great fun and music, and no matter what the weather, you’ll get a warm welcome.

It’s the last day of my summer holiday, so despite the weather, I’ll play a few summer songs.

Bonnie will be here with her bulletin, and we’re going to tell you more about a major new project here at Mushroom FM, a weekly, interactive call-in show Bonnie and I are hosting called A Cuppa at the Mosens. We’ve put a lot of work into the technical side of this to make it easy to participate, so we hope you’re going to join in and help make this new show a success.

All will be revealed on the Mosen Explosion at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, 8 AM in New Zealand, right after Darren.

It’s only here on the station that is the bomb, but never bombs out, Mushroom Fm.
