Over the last nearly 50 years, music has been rocked by some truly memorable LIVE festivals, including Live Eight, Live Aid, and that grand daddy of them all, Woodstock.

And there's yet another special festival people still talk about in hushed, nostalgic tones. The one where, for two consecutive years, Mushroom FM used the power of the Internet to have listeners virtually get together at Fungus Field for a music festival that did the impossible not once, but twice.

With Mushroom FM, nothing is impossible, and we're excited to announce that we're once again setting up the stage, the tents, and the most amazing sound system ever, to bring you Mushroomstock 3. We thought of giving it a subtitle, you know, like "Mushroomstock 3, the fungus awakens", but...na.

Mushroomstock uses our unique and legendary magic mushroom sauce to bring you a fantasy fungal festival of truly epic proportions, using the glorious theatre of the mind that is radio. Attending this memorable event is easy. We think you’ll be settled in for the entirety of this must-hear 10-hour event, so make sure you’re well stocked up with real snacks and your real beverage of choice. With Mushroomstock, mortality is no barrier, nor are irreconcilable differences. So you’ll hear bands that you thought would, and in fact could, never play together again, and individual performers who generally can no longer perform live, on account of deadness.

Each act is from our four decades of magic Mushroom memories, and plays a 20-minute set of some of their best material. Between the sets, our anchors will be checking in on the assembled crowd via the MushroomFM Twitter hashtag, and setting the scene.

Music festivals aren’t just about the music, although we’ve assembled the best virtual music festival ever. But they’re also about the companionship.
