Movie 1: Only the Brave (2017)
Only the Brave is a 2017 American biographical drama that tells the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters who risk their lives to protect their community from wildfires.
The film follows Eric Marsh (played by Josh Brolin), the leader of the crew, as he mentors a group of firefighters and forges them into one of the most respected teams in the country.
The story also focuses on Brendan McDonough (Miles Teller), a troubled young man given a second chance through firefighting.
With emotional depth and thrilling firefighting sequences, the film pays tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the 19 men who perished in the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona.
Directed with sincerity and respect by Joseph Kosinski, the film was praised for its powerful performances and realistic depiction of camaraderie, duty, and loss.
Only the Brave serves as a moving reminder of the everyday heroes among us.

Movie 2: The Maltese Falcon (1941)

The story follows private detective Sam Spade (played by Humphrey Bogart) as he becomes entangled in a web of deceit, murder, and intrigue while searching for a priceless statuette—the titular Maltese Falcon.
Spade’s sharp wit, hardened demeanour, and moral ambiguity make him one of the most iconic characters in noir history. The film’s tight script, atmospheric cinematography, and unforgettable performances helped it become a cornerstone of classic American cinema.
Directed by John Huston in his directorial debut, the film is noted for its fast-paced dialogue, shadowy visuals, and complex characters.
Though not initially expected to be a major hit, The Maltese Falcon went on to become a critical and commercial success and is now considered one of the greatest films ever made.
Its influence can still be seen in crime dramas and mystery films to this day.
