Baseball songs and More songs about time this week on The Early Years!
After you've enjoyed Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me for The Early Years where and when you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's first quarter century with nods to other decades and genres.
The "boys of Summer" are back with the opening of the 2023 Major League Baseball season yesterday. I'll celebrate the return of baseball in hour 1 and the beginning of hour 2 with songs about baseball. It's my favourite professional sport.
If you're in Australia or New Zealand, it's time for you to fall back Sunday morning at 3 A.M so by the time of The Early Years, that will already have happend. I'll play more songs about time, all from 1970 except one from 1947. There are all kinds of songs that mention time in one form or another without using the word, 'time' in the title and you've already heard lots during this theme. You'll hear more this week. Of course, there are also lots of songs that do mention 'time' in the title. Thanks to your suggestions, there are so many more songs that I will continue this theme next week.
The world will be in sync again, at least until September 24.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
