It's a Trip through Volume 2 of the Joni Mitchell Archives, this Week on Come by the Hills!
Finally, the waiting is over! Volume 2 of the Joni Mitchell Archives has now been released, and as we did last year on Come by the Hills with Volume 1, we'll be dipping into this five-disk collection of live rarities, studio recordings and other bits and pieces which covers the years 1968-1971. We'll go to Le Hibou Coffeehouse in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on March 19, 1968, for a set recorded by none other than Jimi Hendrix himself, in an effort to test out his new reel-to-reel tape recorder. We'll also pay a visit to Carnegie Hall on February 1, 1969, and check out some cool duets with James Taylor recorded for the BBC at the Paris Theatre in London on December 27, 1970. IN short, I'll do my best to show you as much of what this latest amazing collection has to offer and share my own thoughts as we go.
Catch Come by the Hills live on Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesday at 5:00 AM Eastern, and of course, enjoy!
