A message for our UK listeners regarding TuneIn support

Listeners in the UK have let us know that in the last 36 hours or so, Mushroom Fm and Mushroom Escape can't be heard using the TuneIn mobile app or through Alexa integration. We don't know but we expect it is affecting Google Assistant too.

Although the timing might suggest it, this is completely unrelated to internal changes we have been making here, and we are not the only Internet station to be affected by this problem.

We have reached out to the team at TuneIn broadcaster support to let them know of the issue, and we hope it is simply a bug that will be addressed in short order.

In the meantime, here are ways for our UK listeners to keep the mushroom goodness going on the devices you love.

Alexa. Alexa offers a skill called My Tuner Radio. You can enable this skill by saying, "Alexa, enable My Tuner Radio". When enabled, just say, "Alexa, ask My Tuner Radio to play Mushroom FM"", or "Alexa, ask My Tuner Radio to play Mushroom Escape". Clearly not as convenient, but at least it works.

iOS. The siri support for playing stations has been unaffected by this change. So, rather than opening the TuneIn app and and finding Mushroom FM or Mushroom Escape, you can ask Siri to play these stations. Once you have done so, the station will appear in Apple Music in the recently played part of Radio.

Other iOS apps, such as Ootunes and My Tuner Radio continue to work correctly.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is clearly of concern when a directory that has such a wide reach has an issue like this, but we hope it won't be too long before this is resolved. We hope these work-arounds keep you connected with us in the interim.

Thanks for your support.
