Hello, I'm Steve Cutway, host of The Early Years on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys.
The Louisiana Hayride was a popular radio show that ran from 1948 to 1960 on a nation-wide US radio network. It introduced countless country, folk and rock artists to a wider audience. Elvis Presley appeared several times on the Hayride between October 16, 1954, 63 years ago tomorrow, and mid 1956. Hear all of his Louisiana Hayride recordings with linking narrative this week on The Early Years.
